Late Winter Events near Springfield, Missouri

As winter is coming to a close over the next month, you are probably starting to get cabin fever. Hopefully, we can make it through these last few weeks without any major winter weather. To hold you over until spring officially arrives, here are some fun events near Springfield, Missouri.

  • Tour Pythian Castle. If you’ve ever wanted to explore the inside of Pythian Castle, consider taking a guided tour. There are tours Monday-Saturday at 11am and costs less than $10 per person. In addition to the historic tour, they also offer ghost tours and have other events for the more adventurous.
  • FirstFriday Art Walk. Head to Downtown Springfield on Friday, March 3rd to see local original art, hear live music, enjoy some food samples, and more. This is a free event the first Friday of every month. It starts at 6pm.
  • A Raisin in the Sun. Springfield Contemporary Theatre is performing this iconic play through February 26th. Tickets cost $25 per adult.
  • Salsa Sunday. Want to learn how to dance while also enjoying some delicious food? Head to Salsa Sunday at Cantina Laredo. It is held the second Sunday of every month starting at 5pm. It costs $25 at the door.
