Chevrolet recently announced a new concept car headed for the 2019 SEMA Show. Painted a brand-new shade of what’s been termed “Shock Yellow,” the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro concept was teased ahead of the show with slick photos that show off its new color and front-end styling.
“There’s a fresh look for the 2019 Camaro, which is restyled, reinvigorated and offers more choices and new technologies,” said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet Car and Crossover Marketing. “It’s the perfect canvas for personalization, and the new Shock color and available accessories demonstrate only some of the possibilities customers have to make the Camaro entirely theirs.”
New Parts & Accessories
The true purpose of the Camaro Shock Yellow Concept is to advertise some new parts and accessories Chevrolet buyers can nab. Enthusiasts will be able to purchase the new accessories next year directly through Bill Roberts Chevrolet Buick and other dealers across the country. Parts advertised include a Brembo® six-piston front brake kit, suspension upgrades, cold-air intake kits, and even Recaro® seats.
There’s also big news for those who like the shade of paint on the Chevrolet Camaro concept. Shock Yellow will be available as an option on the 2019 model-year Camaro, in addition to new available cosmetic upgrades released with the new Chevrolet Accessories line. The drive-in is a classic part of summer. If you’re looking to relive your childhood, follow these easy drive-in movie tips for a fun, carefree night with the whole family.
Going to the drive-in isn’t the same as going to a movie theater. You’re allowed to get out of your seat and play around, so it’s a good idea to bring stuff to do for your kids.
Bring Warm Clothes
You’ll probably get to the drive-in before dark, while it’s still hot outside, but once the sun sets you’ll get chilly fast. Make sure you have sweatshirts and blankets to keep you warm after the sun goes down.
It’s summer, and you’re going to be in the middle of a big open field at the drive-in. You definitely need to bring bug spray, especially if you want to keep your kids from getting eaten up by mosquitos.
Have a Way to Listen
You can tune into the movie’s audio with your radio, but that means you’ll have your car battery running the whole two hours you’re there. If you’d rather play it safe, bring a portable, battery-charged radio for easy listening.
Eating and Getting Rid of Food
You’re going to be at the drive-in for a while, so don’t forget to bring snacks. But make sure you have a garbage bag to get rid of chip bags, plastic bottles, paper plates, and napkins.
On the hunt for a new vehicle to take to the drive-in? Visit us at Bill Roberts Chevy Buick and take a closer look at some of the great new vehicles in our showroom.
All you need for the drive-in theater is a ticket for entry and a comfortable, spacious vehicle from Bill Roberts Chevrolet. But you can enhance any trip to the drive-in with some extra supplies. Here are five things to bring to the drive-in theater this summer.
Many drive-in theaters will only accept cash at the concession stand and/or the front gate. Bring plenty of cash with you so that you’ll have enough for snacks and refreshments throughout the night.
If you want prime seating options, you’ll want to arrive to the drive-in early. If this is your plan, make sure to bring activities to keep people entertained while you’re waiting for the movie to begin, like coloring books, Frisbee, or a football.
A Portable Radio
Drive-in theaters broadcast the sound to the movies through FM radio signals. You can use the radio in your car for this, but if you prefer sitting outside you’ll need a portable radio to hear the audio.
You might be happy to spend the entire movie inside of your car. But, if it’s a clear night it’s also enjoyable to sit outside in the open and watch the movie from there. Bring lawn chairs for everyone for an easy second seating option.
Blankets and Pillows
Summer nights can drop to pleasant chilly temperatures. A light blanket and a few throw pillows will ensure that everyone stays cozy throughout the movie.

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will offer a range of engine options that make it one of the most versatile, powerful, and fuel-efficient trucks in the industry. From Dynamic Fuel Management technology to an all-new engine option, the 2019 Silverado 1500 is an industry leader in efficiency and performance.
A brand new versatile 2.7-liter turbocharged engine, replacing the outgoing 4.3-liter V6, gives a huge boost to the torque, giving the Silverado 1500 similar payload capacity to and higher torque than competitors from Ford and Ram. The new engine is also lighter than the previous one by 380 pounds, adding to its exceptional fuel economy, which is already stellar thanks to the gas-saving turbocharger.
Dynamic Fuel Management
The new Silverado 1500 will also boast Dynamic Fuel Management, an industry-first feature that saves gas by deactivating some cylinders when they aren’t needed for heavy tow and haul loads or rough terrain.
With 17 different modes of cylinder deactivation, the Silverado 1500 effortlessly adapts to driving conditions to give you the smoothest, most powerful ride possible when you need it, and unmatched fuel economy when you don’t. But because the system is torque-based, there’s no difference in the feeling of power between the four-cylinder and eight-cylinder modes.

Chevrolet is always working to create vehicles that offer the latest in connectivity and convenience technologies. The American automaker recently partnered with Amazon to take convenience to even greater heights. Chevrolet drivers can now have packages delivered directly to their vehicle thanks to the Amazon Key App.
Direct Package Delivery
Thanks to the new Amazon-General Motors partnership, more than seven million drivers of 2015 model year and newer vehicles can have their packages delivered directly to their car. The convenience is free to Amazon Prime members with an OnStar® account.
“This is another example of how we provide customers with technologies that add value and enhance the ownership experience,” said Alan Batey, President of General Motors North America.
Setting up deliveries with the Amazon Key App is a breeze. Owners simply need to link their Amazon and OnStar® accounts. After that, Amazon customers can shop online and select “In-Car” delivery when they’re ready to checkout.
It’s a Breeze
The Amazon Key App doesn’t require an extra data plan, new hardware, or anything in between. The system uses the existing built-in 4G LTE connectivity to lock and unlock the doors. Drivers will be notified via the app when the delivery is on its way to their vehicle. They’ll receive another notification once the package is in their vehicle.

For drivers who love the Chevy Silverado HD, you may be excited to hear that the brand recently announced that an all-new 2019 Silverado HD will be added to the lineup. This is the third all-new truck that Chevy has announced over an 18-month period, and the latest truck will join the 2019 Silverado 1500 and the 2019 Silverado 4500/5500/6500HD.
What We Know
Although we don’t have all the details about the next-generation Silverado HD, there are a few things we do know. For example, Chevy says that the newest HD will be tailored for truck owners who want heavy-duty power and have specific priorities. In other words, we may expect some special packages and trims that cater to particular consumer needs.
The Silverado HD will also likely borrow technologies and design cues from the latest lineup of trucks to be released. For instance, the 2019 Silverado 1500 uses mixed materials to cut weight by 450 pounds, and the Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD are specifically built for commercial customers.
Words From Chevrolet
“Chevrolet already fuels the most successful truck manufacturer in the industry,” said Alan Batey, global head of Chevrolet. “With a completely new, expanded range of Silverado models on the horizon, we expect to see even more truck buyers in Chevrolet showrooms.”
The upcoming Silverado HD is expected to roll off the assembly line in the third quarter of 2019. To learn more about our current Silverado lineup, visit us at Bill Roberts Chevrolet.
We may only be a few months into 2018, but we are already expecting 2019 Chevrolet and Buick models to arrive at Bill Roberts Chevrolet, including the all-new 2019 Buick Envision. This version promises quite a few updates to anticipate.
Buick has boosted the performance of the Envision’s 2.0-liter turbo engine to 252 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. That engine gets a new nine-speed automatic transmission for better shifting, and Buick has also added an engine stop/start deactivation switch. For more performance improvements, the 2019 Buick Envision gets a single rate brake booster and can now easily switch between adaptive cruise control and regular cruise control.
Buick has also updated the rear vision camera for better visibility and the seat heating system, which now gets warmer faster. The 2019 Buick Envision also benefits from a better hands-free microphone and boasts next-generation wireless charging for new smartphones, like the iPhone8 and iPhoneX.
Exterior updates include lighting upgrades across Envision trims—including HID and LED lights. Inside, Buick has added an air ionizer to improve cabin’s air quality.
Listening to Customers
“Some of the 2019 Envision’s most notable changes are the results of listening to our customers,” said Elizabeth Pilibosian, Envision chief engineer. “Beneath the updated exterior are a number of changes guided by a goal of offering the most refined and pleasant driving experience possible.”
Stop by Bill Roberts Chevrolet to witness the 2019 Buick Envision when it arrives later this year. Until then, take one of our dynamic new 2018 models out for a test drive.
We here at Bill Roberts Chevrolet pride ourselves on the quality Chevrolet and Buick vehicles that we sell, which are protected with General Motors’ latest and highly innovative safety technology. Even so, we highly recommend that all of our customers build a car emergency kit, just in case things don’t go their way out on the road. Here’s everything you should include in your kit:
Some common car mishaps include a dead battery and flat tire. Make sure you have jumper cables, jacks, a lug wrench, and, of course, a spare tire. Some other tools to have on hand include a flashlight (with new batteries), a hammer, and screwdrivers.
Food and Drinks
In case you become stranded, you will want to have bottled water in the car. Also pack high-protein, nonperishable food items.
Blankets and Warm Clothes
If your car emergency happens in the winter in a cold climate, you will be grateful to have blankets in your trunk. You should also keep extra hats, gloves, coats, and scarves packed, as well.
First Aid Kit
Purchase a small first aid kit with bandages and other essentials, just in case someone gets hurt while away from home.
